TEST PRINTS

Everyone from the workshop has agreed to be our book! This is so great! I finally got in touch with Beatrice and she's sending me a CD with her pictures. We've received pictures from 18 of 23 people so far. David Burnham gets big credit and "thank you's" for scanning close to 200 slides late at night to make our deadline for photo l.a.

For photo l.a. I prepared a binder of material based on pictures from the 18 people who sent their pictures before the end of last week. I have a sleeve for each of the 18 people. On one side, I have a full page print of one picture. On the back side, I have a contact sheet of that person's top 15 pictures. I used an Epson R800 printer with Ilford Smooth pearl Paper, so they look really nice.

For these test prints, I attempted to do a little edit of my own. My theme was morning/day/day/night. I created four essays of five pictures each. Because we had 18 people and I wanted to fill in my essays, I used two photos from two people and one from everyone else. I tried to use each person's first choice picture, but sometimes the flow of the essay called for a different picture. Fortunately, you all have a large volume of awesome pictures!
