WHAT IS "PAN DE HUEVO?"

Petra asks: "What in the world is 'pan de huevo', aside from an easter bread. Since huevos also mean balls in spanish slang--I'm presuming its a slang phrase."

The literal translation is "egg bread", but that's not all of what it means to our group. Anyone want to weigh in on where the phrase "pan de huevo!" came from and what it means to you? ...Heather

Raul said he found it funny because of the way Tom said it. Someone on the bus asked Tom what it was that he was passing around to everyone. In perfect Spanish, Tom shouts, "egg bread!"

"Pan de Huevo, is just Pan de Huevo, egg bread, it just sounded funny the way Tom was saying it...it was like a battle cry...there is no profound meaning to it." said Raul.

From there, it became an exclaimation and a joke for the rest of the week. I have turned it into a verb meaning to post something fun or interesting to the blog.
